This week I spoke at Open Source Summit + Embedded Linux Conference NA on IoT security. This was my second time at Open Source after that last year at Shanghai, China. It was an Online Conference, so I was a little worried as I feel more comfortable giving on-site presentations rather than online ones. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I spoke about identifying threats at an early stage by integrating security in IoT SDLC, Threat Modeling, the top 10 common pitfalls in IoT security, and finding the balance between cost, complexity, and security. This talk ended with countermeasures for some common attacks in IoT.

If you are interested in the talk, here are the slides. I hope you will find them useful.
